The Summer Shindig is ON!

We are starting our summer fundraiser a bit earlier this year to help with an anticipated large number of wildlife intakes. As many of you know, every year presents two key times where we get an influx of orphaned and injured wildlife. The first - the beginning of Spring. Everyone knows this, as Spring brings babies and LOTS of them. For us, the year really kicks in starting in Mid-March.

The second lesser-known period is late Summer. Many of our species will continue to have babies well into early Fall, but the tricky part is that we ALSO get calls about dehydrated or injured animals around this time of year who aren’t coping well with the heat. With record breaking heat the country is expecting for the rest of Summer, we need to be sure we are prepared.

This is why we continue to host our Summer Shindig.

We stress it all the time, but we only ask for what is necessary. You are the true lifeblood to our “Tree” and without your continued support we cannot help the animals that come through the door. Over the past two summers, we have raised over half or close to half of our total $5,000.00 goal. This year we are hoping to finally break through to the clouds!

EVERY donation will get a leaf added to the “Summer Tree” and have their name tagged in the final bloom for all to see. As always, any donation is accepted and appreciated.
